The coffee shop
first opened at St. David’s on Tuesday May 31st 2005. Gradually it has picked up regular customers
and as word spreads, more and more people are dropping in. Some come just for a drink and a chat, others
to read the newspapers and some while waiting for a prescription or an
appointment at the Doctors. Whatever the
reason, they know that they will always be welcome. Councilor Jan Drinkwater remarked that
‘since the Post Office closed, the Coffee Shop has become the heart of the
community here in Shenley Green.’
We are open three
mornings a week – Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9.30 am until 12
noon. On Tuesdays there is also a gentel exercise group. On the last Friday of every month
there is an opportunity to meet with a local police officer, to discuss local issues – from 10.30am until 11.30am.
So, if you haven’t
already tried our coffee, make 2008 the year you do!
